Bringing home a new baby is EXCITING!

However, it can also be scary, daunting and tiring! Not only are you responsible for healing your body, taking care of a newborn that does not understand "Just a minute", you also need to make sure you eat, drink, do laundry, stock diaper stations.... the list goes on.... OH and sneak some sleep in there somewhere!

This is where a postpartum doula comes in! I can help you with the housework so you can focus on you and your bundle of joy. I can make sure you have enough laundry for you and baby to be warm and clean ( and we all know how much babies can spit up). I can make sure you have enough food prepared so you and your family are not hungry.

Along the way, if you have questions or need help bathing or feeding baby, I am there to offer support, information and an extra set of hands to assist you along the way. When baby hits the sleep regression milestones, I can help you get over the hurdle and make sure everyone is getting sleep!

Sometimes, partners are unsure as to how they can help and have many questions as well. I am not only there for mom and baby, but for everyone in the house. Siblings can have trouble understanding why Mom is not always available to read a story or play with them. Again, I am there to help them along the way and ease them into being the best big brother/sister possible.

There are some great techniques that I can show you that calm a colicky baby in seconds. There are some great tips I can share to make diaper changes quicker and less messy. Bath time is enjoyable when everything is within reach and organized.

With that being said,

I am not a medical doctor so I do NOT diagnose medical conditions in the mother or baby/babies, however, I will refer you to a health care provider when appropriate. I do NOT take over care of the baby/babies, however, will assist you in learning to care for your baby/babies needs. I do NOT do heavy house cleaning, such as mopping, cleaning bathtubs or yard work. . However, I will support you with all postnatal care needs!
